Abstract: Topological indices derived from line graph are in use since 1980’s and are mostly used in deriving Quantitative Structure- Property Relationships. Never before weighted line graphs were used for this purpose. A descriptor, L2, derived from weighted line graph has been used in modeling Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) for the narcotic activity of 123 diverse organic compounds.
